I am thrilled to introduce you to our newest
staff member, Roger London. With over 30 years experience
in ministry, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and
insight which will be an asset to our already gifted staff.
Most recently, Roger has served as the Senior
Pastor of Riverlawn Christian here in our city. Through his
years in ministry, he has been involved in youth ministry,
adult education, evangelism, outreach and shepherding ministries
among churches in Kansas, Texas and Florida.
Roger joins our pastoral staff April 1st
as Pastor of Outreach. He will be responsible
for follow-up of our visitors, oversight of our First
Impressions ministry which includes our greeters, parking
lot attendants, Information Center volunteers, and others
who provide that first impression to our guests
each weekend. In addition, he will be responsible for the
oversight of the Deacons Ministry.
Roger and his wife, Carol, have been married
for 32 years and are the parents of three grown children:
Tricia, Ryan and Stephanie. A graduate of Wichita Southeast
High School, Roger also attended Wichita State University.
He graduated from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri
with a Bachelor of Sacred Literature degree in 1974.
Welcome Roger and Carol as you see them
in the coming weeks, and make it a point to get to know this
great couple!
Other Pastoral
Staff News:
Pastor Art Wilson has recently resigned to pursue re-entering
the pulpit ministry. He has worn many hats here at Central
over the past four years, and we appreciate his efforts for
the Kingdom through Central Christian Church.
Pastor Dairel OBar has been given
a new title, Pastor of Pastoral Care/Visitation. He, along
with Roger London, our new Outreach Pastor, will assume the
responsibilities previously covered by Pastor Art Wilson.
Please keep the Wilsons in your prayers during this transition.
I love you,
